Human aggression in the Show Ring, What would you do as a responsible owner, if your dog was to lunge, bite or growl at a person in the ring. Do you evaluate each different action and come up with an solution. As a breeder, do you step in the situation and do what is right for the breed. For example, I have a good friend that showed her 10 month old male puppy, the puppy showed aggression towards the judge. She immediately pulled the dog out, and sat out the rest of the weekend. She followed up the aggressive behavior with a 7 week obedience class, after the puppy didnt show any improvements, she had to put the puppy down. The problem is for a puppy to show aggression at the young age of ten months, is this a result of the environment that the dog was raised, or would it fall back on genetics? Does the breeder evaluate the situation and remove sire and dam from there breeding program? Feel Free to chime in
